Welcome to the old town by Hakodate Port.
Since the port first opened in the late Edo period, this town has grown its own dynamism
— East and West woven together in its architecture, foreign cultures mingling in its stone-paved lanes.
Portside Inn Hakodate offers two ways to stay.
One is a private whole-house rental for a single party a night, set in a former shipping company building from
1885 — cook in the kitchen with ingredients from the market, jazz in the background. Across the street is an
8-room guesthouse, home to PSI Table, a galette shop using Hokkaido buckwheat flour.
Wander the sloped streets in search of a shop, stop by a hot spring, or take the tram out to Goryokaku Park or
Onuma Quasi-National Park.
Feel the layers of time this town has gathered, and find your own way to spend it.

Portside Inn Hakodate features a small dining space with a single table, "PSI Table."
It starts the day as a morning spot for house-made crêpes, serving fragrant galettes made with Hokkaido buckwheat dough aged for several days, then transforms into a wine bar for wine and tapas by night.
Guests may check in from 3pm to 9pm. Check out is by noon.

Yes, for cancellations made within 5 days of the scheduled arrival, we charge 100% of the accomodation cost.
We have one bedroom with one king bed and one queen bed. The room can accommodate four adults, but two people must share one bed. One crib can also be rented upon request.
Upon prior request, we can provide a baby chair in the dining room and a crib in the bedroom.

The annex, Portside Inn Hakodate, can accommodate up to 6 guests. In the new building, only the Group Room can accommodate 3–4 guests. Other rooms can accommodate 2 adults plus 1 child under 6 in the same room.

It depends on the plan. Even if your plan doesn't include breakfast, you can still use the restaurant on the day.

We keep found items for one month from the date they are found. You may pick them up at the hotel or have them mailed to you. Mailed items are, in principle, sent cash-on-delivery (recipient pays shipping) only.
